A new project this year, Our Village (formally St Kilda Mums), collect and rehome essential baby and children’s items and work with social workers and maternal and child health nurses to rehome them to babies and children in need. Following a talk at the Club by Merrlin Kelly, we held a Bunnings BBQ to raise funds for Our Village and presented a cheque for $1000.
Our sponsorship of the Interact Club at McClelland College continued under the enthusiastic leadership of Assistant Principal and Finance Manager, Andrew Hemsley. The students had an outstanding year, raising more than $5,000 for the Peta Murphy Memorial Fund through a Colour Run involving over 200 participants.
